Acupuncture
My expertise and gratification are measured only by the positive outcomes experienced by my patients. I’m always honored to have the opportunity to serve as a guide and partner in helping them to resolve whatever health issue, big or small, they seek to remedy.
Your Success Is My Success
Nancy Clark, A.P.
I opened my practice in this location in 1999 after completing a four year program in Chinese Medicine at the Community School Of Traditional Chinese Healthcare in North Miami.
Since then, my primary goal is to work with my patients to resolve their health issues and imbalances as efficiently as possible, whether it be a recent or longstanding disorder of pain, reproductive / gyn issue, menopause, anxiety / depression, digestive or the many other health challenges that can be helped with acupuncture.
I use different styles of acupuncture or a combination depending on the complexity of the patient’s issue at hand. I may offer to incorporate herbal and supplement support, especially for digestive disorders and hormonal / menopausal issues.
My Story
I came to study Chinese Medicine after being diagnosed with a “ moderately severe “ case of ulcerative colitis at age 36. I was given a lengthy course of prednisone, then prescribed meds to manage the colitis. By chance, I found my way to my second cousin, Kevin Clark, who practiced Chinese Medicine, lived five minutes from me for six years, though I never knew it, until he appeared in my life when I was diagnosed. I hadn’t seen him for 25 years, and had all but forgotten he existed. It worked, and I never had to take meds again. Now I wanted to know how it worked.
I graduated in ’97 from the Community School of Traditional Chinese Healthcare in North Miami after completing a four year academia program and 1200 clinical hours. I then became licensed after sitting for the NCCAOM Board Exams for Acupuncture. I received my injection therapy certification in 2002 at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Ft Lauderdale. Over my years of practice, I have always sought to expand my knowledge through continuing education to be of better service to my patients.
Continuing Education
I’m a seminar Junkie; There’s always more to learn….
I have continued my studies over the years with a wide variety of teachers and well known master acupuncturists such as Eight Branch Chi Kung master Jeff Nagel, Balance Method master Richard Tan; all disciples of the super effective style Master Tung, Lonny Jarret, Jeffrey Yuen, and other gifted teachers.
I recently completed a 150 hour training in Kiko Matsumoto Japanese Style acupuncture in Portland, Oregon. Kiko’s curiosity and ongoing investigation of Chinese character translation, continues to reveal new acupuncture points, point functions & clinical strategies. The course series is taught by Kiko and her protege Monika Kobyleka, co-author of Kiko’s forthcoming book, and pediatric acupuncturist at the LA Children’s Hospital. Children are generally very receptive to this style of acupuncture where insertion free Japanese micro needles may be placed over the points.
Workshops / seminars led by experienced and practicing clinicians in the areas of nutrition and injections comprise my past and current continuing education as well. See pages on nutritional support and injections for more info.
The Nei Jing, a medical class written in the 2nd century B.C. states:
“ Maintaining order rather than correcting disorder is the ultimate principal of wisdom. To cure disease after it has appeared, is like digging a well when one is thirsty, or forging weapons after the war has already begun. “
Skin Care Specialist
Claudia Barbosa, LMT
After relocating to Miami in 1993 as a professional dancer I gained a certificate in massage at the ‘Educating Hands of Massage’. My intention was to add this as a second career option, but it immediately appealed to me and has been my primary occupation since 1996. Since then I have taken many different workshops and certification courses including NeuroMuscular Therapy, Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Mother Massage, and Baby Massage. I am a believer that massage is a great way to establish communication with your own body, bringing awareness and a general sense of wellbeing.
I received my Facial Specialist Certification in 2000 from Florida College of Natural Health in Miami. I worked for 10 years as a Massage Therapist, Facialist and Trainer at the renowned Spa at The Mandarin Oriental Miami, known worldwide as one of the most respected holistic spas in the U.S. It is the only 5 star rated Spa in Miami since 2008.

I was lead to massage therapy by my passion for helping others in their healing process. Before attending Educating Hands School of Massage in Miami, I studied many healing modalities; Karmapa Reiki, Tian Do Bambo, and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage. My adjunctive trainings include Thai – Yoga, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Hot Stone Massage. My path has led me to other various workshops and trainings in the healing arts. I hold a Certification in Pediatric Massage for children with ADD, AHD, and Autism. I also completed my training as a Trauma Resolution Counselor ( TRC ) at the Trauma Resolution Center of Miami. I am continuously looking for new ways to expand my knowledge and skills so that I may be of greater service to my clients and the community.

I was first drawn to massage as a respite from a very stressful work environment. While living in Toronto, a session of reflexology or massage in the city’s China Town district became my regime. With each motion and stroke of the therapist, the tension seemed to ooze from me. Touch was an amazing and healing tooI of renewal. I wanted to learn more about this simple yet endless source of positive bliss.
I began with an intro- course at Sutherland-Chan in Toronto and continued in Miami at M.D.C as well as Educating Hands where I became certified in Reflexology, a technique that interrupts stress, helps reset and restore balance, and feels euphoric.
I’m a participating member of F.M.C.T.A. of Florida, which allows me to be part of an educational family and network of practitioners in varied modalities and keeps me informed on ethics and state laws. Massage Therapy has become a wonderful and every growing journey with great rewards, especially from clients : “ That was amazing “.
